THE CROSSOVER COMMUNITY:

WHO WE ARE

We aren’t perfect.

We don’t know all the answers.

But we do know Who is perfect and Who has all the answers. We would love to help you as you partner with us on this exciting journey of knowing God.

At Crossover, we would be thrilled to have the opportunity to get to know you better–perhaps over a shared meal, a cup of coffee, while watching a game, or even as we work out together.

After all, the church is the people, not a place. We don’t want you to merely “go” to church; we want to help you be the church every single day.

A GROUP OF PEOPLE BEING CHANGED WHILE BRINGING CHANGE TO THEIR WORLD THROUGH THE LOVE OF CHRIST.

WHAT WE'RE ABOUT:

CORE VALUES

Disciple Making

Engaging, establishing, equipping, and empowering

disciples of Jesus to reflect Christ in the way they do life

and in the reproducing of His image amongst all peoples,

classes, ages, and genders.

Community

Doing life together in an authentic yet transforming

way that holds one another accountable while encouraging

each believer to become more like Christ in every way.

Relevant

Studying and teaching the scriptures in a way that

allows them to be practically lived out.

Biblically Balanced

Showing unity on the essentials and liberty on the

non-essentials of our faith.

Service

Being an active part of the body of Christ both inside

and outside the walls of the church.

WALKING BESIDE OTHERS AS THEY CROSSOVER FROM DEATH TO LIFE AND IMMATURITY TO MATURITY IN CHRIST.

LIVING LIFE TOGETHER:

OUR VISION

We plan to continue to befriend the members of the Freeport community through a variety of ways. This friendship will be cultivated through community partnerships, missional communities, life skills classes, and other actions that allow us to do life together with those around us.

As each missional community is established, we will expand to a new area, but only when there is someone who is ready and able to step in and continue leading. The missional community development will be accomplished by first observing how God is moving amongst that community and secondly, by discerning whom the natural leaders (Person of Peace) are. Once the Person(s) of Peace are established, our plan is to continue discipling the leaders as they continue to disciple their neighbors.

Our goal is to start small, establishing relationships through living life together. Crossover believes it is by coming alongside someone that we are able to help them learn how to become stronger. Crossover desires to teach through example to help people identify opportunities to be faithful, available, and teachable. (F.A.T.)
